In an event marking a significant milestone for the congregation, St. Peter's Anglican Church Murrumbeena is pleased to announce the commissioning of The Rt. Rev. Keerthisiri Fernando (the former 6th Bishop of the Diocese of Kurunagala in the Church of Ceylon) as the new Vicar. This special service, led by The Rt. Rev. Genieve Blackwell, Assistant Bishop of the Marmingatha Episcopate, will take place on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 3:00 pm.
The commissioning service, to be followed by Holy Communion, will be held at St Peter's Anglican Church, located at 371A Neerim Road, Carnegie, VIC 3163. The Church Wardens and the Parish Councillors extend a warm invitation to all members of the community to join in this joyous occasion.
To enhance the fellowship and celebration, a tea will be served in the Church Hall following the service. Clergy attending are invited to robe, with a white stole being the designated attire for the event.
