"Lama Pubuduwa" Children's Programs Illuminate St. John's Boys' Home Orphanage

In a heartwarming initiative, the inaugural "Lama Pubuduwa" Children's Program unfolded at St. John's Boys' Home Orphanage in Kegalle on November 9, 10, and 11. The program, dedicated to the children of the orphanage, was orchestrated by the compassionate efforts of Mrs. Lakpraba. The event featured insightful sermons delivered by Rev. Ranjana Laksiri, Rev. Deacon Anula Muthugala Arachchi, and Rev. Ravindran Samuel, the overseeing priest in charge of the children's home.

Founded in 1943 under the visionary guidance of the Rev. Bertram Wickramanayake, St. John's Boys' Home has been a beacon of hope for countless children. The "Lama Pubuduwa" program aimed to create a festive and nurturing atmosphere for the youngsters, bringing joy and enlightenment into their lives.

The second leg of the program unfolded on November 18th at Uduwela Chapel in Hanthana, Kandy, further extending its positive impact beyond Kegalle. The event not only provided a platform for spiritual growth but also fostered a sense of community and togetherness among the children.

As the "Lama Pubuduwa" Children's Program continues to make a positive impact, it stands as a testament to the power of community, compassion, and the enduring spirit of hope for a brighter future for these children in need.
