The Diocese of Kurunegala, in collaboration with World Vision Lanka, hosted a heartwarming "Celebrating Families" workshop from May 23rd to 25th. This enriching event, held in the picturesque town of Nuwara Eliya, brought together nearly 100 members from 25 families, including Clergy, Deacons, Brothers, and Sisters. The workshop aimed to foster a sense of unity and understanding within families while encouraging collective worship.
Participants at the workshop experienced a profound sense of God's grace as they engaged in various activities designed to strengthen family bonds and enhance mutual understanding. The success of this event has laid a promising foundation for its future expansion to every church within the diocese.
The "Celebrating Families" workshop is part of a series of initiatives planned to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Diocese of Kurunegala in 2025. By promoting family worship and unity, the diocese aims to build stronger, more spiritually connected communities.
The organizers expressed their gratitude to all participants and supporters, highlighting the event's role in bringing families closer to one another and to God. Plans are already underway to replicate this inspiring workshop across more churches, ensuring that the spirit of togetherness and worship continues to flourish.
