The Church of Ceylon, Diocese of Kurunegala, is proud to celebrate 62 years of the Devasevikaramaya movement! Today, we marked this momentous occasion with a spiritually enriching program on "Christian Monastic Movements and Its Spirituality" at Christ the King Cathedral, Kurunegala.
The event was led by a distinguished panel of clergy, including Fr. Mahesh, Fr. Sanath, Fr. Anuruddha, Fr. Nuwan, and Sr. Priyani. Their insights and guidance provided an enlightening experience for all attendees, deepening their understanding of Christian monastic traditions and their profound spiritual significance.
Devasevikaramaya is one of the two indigenous monastic orders within the Diocese of Kurunegala. Over the past 62 years, this monastic order has played a crucial role in fostering spirituality, promoting religious education, and providing guidance to the Anglican community.
As we celebrate this significant milestone, we express our gratitude to all those who have been part of the Devasevikaramaya movement. Their dedication and commitment continue to inspire and nurture the spiritual growth of our community. Here's to many more years of spiritual enlightenment and service!
