The community of St. Andrews Church in Gampola came together on 11 June 2023 to extend a heartfelt welcome to their new parish priest, Rev. Sanath Kumara Madagamgoda, and his beloved family.
Rev. Fr. Sanath Kumara Madagamgoda joins St. Andrews Church with a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to serving the spiritual needs of the community. Prior to his appointment, he served as the Resident Priest at St. Paul's Church in Kandy. Additionally, he held the position of Chaplain at Hillwood College, Kandy, where he played an instrumental role in nurturing the spiritual growth of the students.
Beyond his pastoral duties, Rev. Sanath Kumara Madagamgoda has been actively involved in various social initiatives. As the Coordinator of the Board of Social Responsibility, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to addressing the needs of the disadvantaged members of society.
Ordained in 2009, Rev. Sanath Kumara has since devoted himself to his calling, spreading the message of love, hope, and faith. In his inaugural address to the congregation, Rev. Sanath Kumara expressed his deep gratitude for the warm welcome.
