The Cathedral of Christ the King in Kurunegala was filled with reverence and gratitude on February 2, 2024, as the Diocese of Kurunegala commemorated its 74th anniversary with a Thanksgiving Service. Led by the Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Nishantha Fernando, the service brought together clergy, diocesan officials, lay ministers, and members of the community to reflect on the rich history of the Diocese and to offer prayers for its future.
The anniversary service was a solemn occasion marked by prayers, hymns, and reflections on the journey of the Diocese since its establishment.
